www.channel4.com - : Kennedy's blend of humour and conventional western narratives echoed through numerous films as writer and/or director. Here, he took both roles., The story follows a drifter (Mitchum) searching for his son's killer. He befriends a would-be gunslinger (Walker Jr) and sets up as marshal of Lordsburgh, only to discover that the killer is the father (Anderson) of his new associate's sidekick (Carradine). Not startlingly original, but well acted by Mitchum at his laconic best and Walker, who sadly remains in the shadow of his talented father. There's also Dickinson as a saloon owner to brighten up proceedings. more...
