www.boxoffice.com - : Smartly recognizing the value of one's library is key to exploiting that library on DVD. MGM has been among the most successful studios with this strategy, dividing its library into an assortment of different labels for marketing purposes (even though the most valuable MGM films now all belong to Warner Bros.). That tactic now appears to have been seized smartly by Fox who has released four new films and repackaged several older films under the ''Fox War Classics'' line. Previous releases ''The Longest Day,'' ''The Thin Red Line,'' ''Von Ryan's Express,'' ''Twelve O'Clock High'' and a new single-disc release of ''Patton'' (minus the second disc of extras) have been assigned to the new line along with the new releases ''Guadalcanal Diary,'' ''Halls of Montezuma,'' ''The Young Lions'' and ''A Wing and a Prayer.''
