www.eonline.com - : There's nothing original in this picture, yet it's intensely likable just the same. Will Hunting (Damon) is a troubled, temperamental, underachieving janitor with a brain like Einstein's and a nightmarish past. But when a professor (Skarsgard) takes an interest in him, a Harvard coed (Driver) takes a shine to him and a sensitive shrink (Williams) takes to challenging him, can salvation be far off? Thankfully, the flick's ably penned script (by Affleck and Damon) contains more than a few suprises. What's odd is Van Sant's contribution--or lack thereof. He seems to have emailed this one in, showing none of the casual flash and ease with actors he showed in To Die For and Drugstore Cowboy. more...
