Overwiew :Based on the 'Three Penny Opera,' Macheath, a notorious criminal, has wed the daughter of the leaders of the poor and oppressed beggars of Soho. To protect their shady business from Mack the Knife's intrusion, the leaders conspire to have Mack thrown in jail, but his sentence is shortlived.
