www.eonline.com - : So, what's the Rock cookin' this time? How about fast-food summer fare that won't leave you all that satisfied. This side story to the surprisingly popular Mummy franchise has the WWF star donning the people's loincloth as the titular hero, a skilled assassin looking to smack down an evil ruler (Steven Brand). As the movie rips off bits from Conan, Indiana Jones and most every other action flick from the last 20 years, the charismatic Rock pumps up the body count--and adds more humor than you might expect. Michael Clarke Duncan increases the muscle (and that's about it) and Kelly Hu adds some sex as an escaped sorcerer clinging to Rock's biceps and hoping to hang on for a sequel. Go ahead, see it, but don't blame us if you feel empty after this plodding and predictable adventure. more...
