www.eonline.com - : Stalkers gone cuddly! That's the effect achieved by this oddball documentary about a twentysomething Average Joe who decides to pursue Drew Barrymore, the object of a lifelong crush. Brian Herzlinger, however is an Average Hollywood Joe, one with a decent production-assistant job and enough personal contacts that he can play the Six Degrees game and get somewhat close to his adorable prey. He even tracks down Barrymore's facialist as a potential lead. The human-proof battalion of publicists Barrymore employs won't let him get near her--a good thing, we suppose, since the only thing separating Herzlinger from a dangerous psycho is that he's making a self-effacing movie about it. So, it's no Super Size Me; that self-effacing doc had a socially conscious point to make. And in the end, it's no use either--Barrymore's already dating that guy from the Strokes. more...
