www.eonline.com - : Remember Coyote Ugly? No? Well, it was about a female musician striving for fame who makes ends meet by doing slutty dances on bars. This movie is the even dumber boy-version of that, except the guy in question (kitten-faced Steven Strait) doesn't have to do any slutty dances to get noticed. He just has to look adorable and sweaty while he rocks. His reward for his efforts is two model-gorgeous girlfriends, one treacherous (Shannyn Sossamon) and one true-blue (newcomer Pell James). The plot involves the photogenic young cast (including Kip Pardue and Ashlee Simpson) being petulant with each other and moaning about love and artistic integrity and how shallow Los Angeles is. But the movie doesn't waste too much time with unnecessary stuff like having an interesting story. Its real job is to make everyone in it look like the most delicious batch of snack cakes ever.
