Overwiew :An independent film that is both well-crafted and superbly acted, HELLCAB sports an all-star cast and a script that breathes new life into the day-in-the-life-of flick. Paul Dillon stars as a Chicago cabbie who works a 14-hour shift on the longest day of the year; he transports a bizarre and eclectic collection of customers, and experiences an emotional and existential transformation along the way. The eccentrics who enter his cab include a couple engaged in a very personal argument, a rape victim who the cabbie longs to help, a pregnant woman, and many others. Star cameos include Julianne Moore (SAFE, THE HOURS), John Cusack (HIGH FIDELITY, BEING JOHN MALKOVICH), Laurie Metcalf (ROSEANNE), and Gillian Anderson (THE X-FILES). |
