Overwiew :The film is the story of Duncan Mudge (Hirsch), a fourteen-year old farm boy living on a farm with his emotionally distant father (Jenkins). When Duncan's mother passes away suddenly from a heart attack, he seeks refuge in his pet chicken and his mother's old clothes. He mimics his dead
mother & this causes Duncan's father further grief, who doesn't understand his son's unusual mourning rituals & wants him to be a nornmal person who would take on the family farm.
