I have always enjoyed Mr Duvalls films, but I am at a loss for words at his portrail of General Robert E. Lee in Gods and Generals. General Lee being one of Americas greatest generals and finest citizens, would make it an overwelming task to try and do justice to the man and his legacy. But Mr. Duvall made me feel as though I was actually listening to General Lee in person. What a spectacular performance!! | | |
