William Middleton Detailed Biography -

William Middleton (or William de Middleton) was a medieval Bishop of Norwich. He was an official of Canterbury when he was appointed Archdeacon of Canterbury by Archbishop Robert Kilwardby in October 1275. He may also have held a prebend in the diocese of London. He was elected on February 24, 1278 and was consecrated on May 29, 1278. He was enthroned at Norwich Cathedral on November 27, 1278. He died on September 1, 1288 or August 31, 1288.
