Zor was a Tirolian scientist that created the Aluce (SDF-1) and the Protoculture Matrix, the foundations of the Robotech Masters empire.
This era concerns the first two seasons of Robotech, adapted from the first Macross TV series, and related stories, otherwise known as The First Generation.
LINN Minmei is a Chinese-Japanese character. As such, her family name is "LINN" (LYNN), and her personal name is "Minmei" (Minmay).
Lisa Hayes is the Americanized name used in Robotech for the Macross character Misa Hayase.
Ben Dixon is a character based on Hayao Kakizaki of the original Japanese series, The Super Dimension Fortress Macross. Ben, along with his best friend Max Sterling, become rookie wingmates under the command of newly promoted Lieutenant Rick Hunter, forming the Vermillion Squadron with Roy Focker watching over them. While Max is quiet and shy, husky Ben is jovial, gregarious and fashions himself (or rather overrates himself) as a ladies man. He and Roy are fellow jokesters and often team up to tease Rick over the romantic circle he's involved in with Lynn Minmei and Lisa Hayes. Under the watchful eye of Roy, Ben, Max, and Rick became a tight-knit group during the early days of the war with the Zentraedi.
Out of the three, Ben seems to require the most repairs to his plane after a battle. Sadly, Ben's phenomenal luck runs out when, during a malfunction of the SDF-1's omnidirectional barrier system, the barrier explodes and Ben is caught in the blast. Following the recent loss of Roy Fokker, Ben's death comes as another painful blow to Rick, Max, and Lisa.
Claudia Grant is a character based on Claudia LaSalle of the original Japanese series, The Super Dimension Fortress Macross. Claudia is a bridge officer on the SDF-1 and was third in command after Captain Henry J. Gloval and Lt. Cmdr. Lisa Hayes. In her early military career, Claudia courted fighter pilot Roy Fokker, and the two soon became a couple. Claudia was also a close friend of Lisa's. She would often comfort Lisa in regards to Rick Hunter over a glass of wine or cup of tea, offering advice or bluntly telling Lisa not to let Rick "get away from her". Unfortunately, Claudia died at her post in the final battle against Khyron (although in the original Macross, she does not die).
The character of Bowie Grant in the Robotech Masters (Southern Cross segment) of Robotech, is Claudia's nephew and son of her brother Vince Grant who plays a major role in Robotech II: The Sentinels and the Shadow Chronicles.
Exedore is a character based on Exsedol Folmo of the original Japanese series, The Super Dimension Fortress Macross. Exedore is a Zentradi who serves as Domillan (advisor) to Fleet Commander Breetai during their search for Robotech Master Zor's missing battlefortress (later known as the SDF-1). Although still a giant by Micronian standards, he is almost a dwarf when compared to even the average Zentradi. Exedore is the keeper of Zentradi law, lore and history as given to him by the Robotech Masters. It is he that reminds Breetai that one of their directives is to stay away from Micronian civilizations for fear of cultural contamination. Nonetheless, because the Earth humans have come in possession of SDF-1, Exedore has the hapless job of trying to outthink them which proves a difficult task considering the Terrans' inexperience in space warfare makes them nearly unpredictable.
Because of the constant battles with the Earth humans, numerous Zentradi become enthralled by the culture of the Micronians and their lifestyle. To avoid widespread cultural contamination, Supreme Zentradi commander Dolza orders the extermination of Breetai and Azonia's fleets. Anticipating this, Exedore has himself micronized and travels to SDF-1 as an emissary and proposes an alliance with Earth. His proposal is well received and Breetai and Azonia's fleets offer well needed assistance in Earth's defense against Dolza's armada.
Exedore continued to serve as an advisor to the Robotech Defense Force in the reconstruction years following the successful defeat of Dolza's armada. He accompanied Rick Hunter, Lisa Hayes, Dr. Emil Lang, T.R. Edwards, and the other survivors (including a now micronized Breetai) aboard the SDF-3 in the Robotech Expeditionary Force mission to the Master's homeworld.
In the comic book miniseries Prelude to the Shadow Chronicles, during the final phase of the Third Robotech War, Exedore, android Janice, and Dr. Lang were aboard the REF science vessel Deukalion as part of the test firing of the Neutron S Missiles that were planned for use at Reflex Point. Underestimating the power of the weapons, the test firing badly damage the SDF-3 and Deukalion. The wreckage of the Deukalion was recovered with Janice still aboard. Exedore and Doctor Lang are presumed to have been killed as in the animated Shadow Chronicles, it is stated that there were no other survivors.
Khyron is a character based on Quamzin Kravshera of the original Japanese series, The Super Dimension Fortress Macross. Sometimes known as Khyron Kravshera or Lord Khyron, he was a brilliant but often insubordinate and mentally unstable Zentraedi commander during the First Robotech War. Khyron earned the nickname Khyron the Backstabber because of his habit of attacking his own men when angered or drunk.
Khyron's Botoru Battalion was summoned to the Solar system by Commander Breetai, against the advice of Exedore, to assist in the capture of the SDF-1 Macross. While his unorthodox tactics kept the RDF off balance, he was often rebuked by both Commanders Breetai and Azonia for risking undue damage to the fortress. On one occasion, Breetai was forced to use the nebulizer in order to forcibly recall Khyron from an unauthorized attack. When Breetai's forces joined the RDF in battle against Dolza's Grand Fleet, Khyron showed his self-serving nature by deserting.
Several years after the Zentraedi Rain of Death, Khyron and Azonia reappeared and stole a protoculture chamber from New Detroit which they used to resize the growing number of disaffected Zentraedi back into warrior giants. After a failed attempt to kidnap Lynn Minmei and ransom her for the SDF-1, Khyron then restyled himself Khyron the Destroyer, firebombed Macross City, and stole a protoculture storage matrix which he used to refuel a Zentraedi warship.
In 2014 during a final suicidal attack against the SDF-1, Khyron and Azonia crashed their battlecruiser into the fortress, destroying both ships, killing themselves, Admiral Gloval, and almost all of the SDF-1's command staff.
In the Del Rey Robotech novels by Jack McKinney, Khyron's behavior was believed to be a side effect from ingesting the petals of the Invid Flower of Life. It was even indicated that this behavior led to his instability and madness and that he had not always been that way. Also it was suggested that Khyron's final assault on the SDF-1 was an inspiration to many Zentraedi during the malcontent uprisings in 2015.
Khyron is one of the most dangerous of all Robotech warriors, and probably would have killed Rick Hunter had he not been recalled at the last minute by the nebulizer device.
Khyron was voiced by actor Greg Snegoff.
The Macross operators — Vanessa Laird, Kim Kabirov, and Shammy Milliome (Vanessa Leeds, Kim Young, and Sammie Porter in Robotech) — were three minor fictional characters in the first Macross series (which was adapted as the first story arc of Robotech). They were attractive girls who managed the various functions of the SDF-1 Macross's bridge under Captain Global (Gloval in Robotech).
This era concerns the second series adapted to Robotech (Southern Cross) and the movie adapted from Megazone 23, and is referred to as The Robotech Masters story arc.
Dr. Lazlo Zand is a fictional character appearing in the Robotech universe.
Dr. Lazlo Zand was a protégé of Dr. Emil Lang and helped in developing many of the second generation Robotech mecha such as Alpha and Beta fighters and Hovertanks.
This era concerns the fourth season and third series adapted to Robotech (Mospaeda) and related stories. This era overlaps the end of The Sentinels era, and the invading liberating forces come from The Sentinels portion of the fictional universe.
This era starts by overlapping a portion of The Lost Generation. It continues parallel to The Second Generation, and interacts with the main storyline in The Third Generation by providing the forces of liberation. This era ends with the start of The Shadow Chronicles era.
Colonel Jonathan Wolfe is a fictional character in the Robotech Universe. He had a memorable one time appearance as a guest character in the 1985 series during the New Generation segment episode Eulogy. He would have returned as a regular character in the aborted prequel series Robotech II: The Sentinels which was later realized as a comic book series and a series of novels by Jack McKinney. In his animated appearances, including the produced Sentinels animation, Colonel Wolff was voiced by Tom Wyner.
Dr. Emil Lang is a fictional character appearing in the Robotech universe.
Dr. Lang was briefly seen in episodes 5 ("Transformation") and 6 ("Daedalus Attack") of the Macross Saga. He would have had a much larger role in the aborted sequel Robotech II: The Sentinels. The storyline for this series was later realized as a comic book and novel series.
During his animated appearances in Robotech and Sentinels, Dr. Lang was voiced by Greg Snegoff.

Vince is the brother of Claudia Grant, a bridge officer on the SDF-1 in The Macross Saga, Robotech's first generation adapted from The Super Dimension Fortress Macross. He is also the father of Bowie Grant, who served as a young private with the 15th ATAC Squadron during The Robotech Masters, Robotech's second generation saga adapted from The Super Dimension Cavalry Southern Cross.
Marlene Rush was in the third series of Robotech, and The Shadow Chronicles She also has a brother named Marcus Rush.
Marlene Rush was Scott Bernard's girlfriend and he proposed to her before he went into battle. When the Mars 21 division attacked the Earth that was invaded by the Invid, she was killed as she and the crew were going into Earth's atmosphere and was attacked by the Invid. After she died, Scott Bernard was haunted by visions of Marlene. Not only that, before she died, she gave a gift to Scott, a pendent that is able to show a hologram of herself.
Marcus Rush has a pendent which is able to show a hologram of her and Scott Bernard together.
