Veronica Clifford (born October 20, 1944) is a Scottish character actress. Educated at St Joseph's Convent Boarding School, Girvan, Ayrshire and trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, she appeared in a number of minor roles in some made-for-TV movies. She has appeared also in Coronation Street and Comedy Playhouse.
Theatre work included, 'Jorrocks'. Films included, 'Sebastian', 'I'll never forget what's 'is name', 'Every Home Should Have One'. Radio work included 'Three Sisters'.
More notably, she played Myrtle Snap in an episode of Jeeves and Wooster, and Mrs Mason in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
