Vera Farmiga Detailed Biography -
Farmiga is currently starring in NBC's UC: Undercover, where she plays Alex Cross, a member of a highly specialized unit within the Justice Department that goes deep undercover to apprehend powerful criminals.
Most recently, she co-starred opposite Robert De Niro and Edward Burns in the feature film Fifteen Minutes as a young Czech immigrant who witnesses a crime and becomes involved with the investigator (Burns) pursuing the case.
Farmiga also finished several upcoming films and TV movies including the romantic comedy Dummy, with Adrien Brody, and the television movie Snow White, a new interpretation of the classic tale of good vs. evil with Miranda Richardson and Tom Irwin.
Farmiga's other film credits include the romantic drama Autumn in New York (with Richard Gere), The Opportunists (with Christopher Walken), and Return to Paradise. She is also an accomplished stage actress who has appeared in several productions as a member of the Barrow Group, a theater company in New York, where her credits include The Tempest and The Seagull and Good.
A New Jersey native, Farmiga graduated from Syracuse University and currently lives in upstate New York when not filming UC: Undercover in Vancouver.
