A versatile British actor, Tom Hollander's film credits include the award-winning Some Mother's Son co-starring Aidan Gillen, True Blue directed by Ferdinand Fairfax and the popular British comedies Martha Meets Frank, Daniel and Lawrence, co-starring Joseph Fiennes and Bedrooms and Hallways co-starring Kevin McKidd and Hugo Weaving. Hollander co-starred with Nigel Hawthorne in the critically acclaimed The Clandestine Marriage and with Hugh Laurie in Ben Elton's comedy Maybe Baby. Recent film credits include Michael Apted's WWII drama, Enigma with Kate Winslet and Robert Altman's award-winning ensemble piece Gosford Park. Hollander's next film appearance is in Neil La Bute's screen adaptation of A S Byatt's Possession starring Gwyneth Paltrow.
Television appearances include the recent adaptation of Nicholas Nickelby co-starring Charles Dance, lead roles in the prominent BBC dramas Wives and Daughters and John Diamond as well as a memorable cameo as Saffie's boyfriend in Absolutely Fabulous.
