Sharon Lawrence (born June 29, 1961 in Charlotte, North Carolina) is an American television actress. She is best known for playing Sylvia Costas Sipowitz in the TV program NYPD Blue. She also played the role of Maisy Gibbons, a housewife/prostitute in Desperate Housewives. She was also the star of the short-lived sitcom Fired Up. Sharon also plays on the World Poker Tour in the Hollywood Home games for the Alzheimer's Association and Project ALS charity.
