Samantha Ronson is a DJ/rock singer. Her step-father is musician Mick Jones of the rock band Foreigner and her mother is Ann Dexter-Jones. Her twin sister is fashion designer Charlotte Ronson and her older brother is NYC DJ and producer Mark Ronson. Ronson is known to be good friends with DJ AM and has recently been rumored to be romantically involved with Lindsay Lohan. She was formerly signed to hip hop label Roc-A-Fella Records and she released four songs: "Pull My Hair Out", "Fool", "If It's Gonna Rain" and "Built This Way" which were featured in the movie Mean Girls.
In 2004, Ronson wrote and recorded her first album "RED," which was never released, though song downloads were made available from her MySpace page. Ronson also made a number of appearances on mix tapes produced by artists signed to the Roc-A-Fella label. After leaving Roc-A-Fella Records, Ronson moved to Los Angeles and continued playing shows, DJ'ing, as well as writing and recording music.
She is also a Co-Owner of Semi-Private NY Nightclub The Plumm, along with Chris Noth, David Wells, Noel Ashman, among others.
