Samuel Worthington (born 2 August 1976) is an actor from Perth, Australia. He won a scholarship to the John Curtin School of Performing Arts in Fremantle, WA. He graduated from the National Institute of Dramatic Art in 1998.
Worthington was one of several actors who were screen tested for the role of James Bond in Casino Royale. Other actors included Daniel Craig, Henry Cavill, Goran Visnjic and Julian McMahon, with the role eventually going to Daniel Craig.
He is slated to play Jack Sully, the lead role in James Cameron's upcoming film Avatar.
