Ruth McDevitt (September 13, 1895 - May 27, 1976) was an American film actress. She was born as "Ruth Thane Shoecraft" and was married to Patrick McDevitt. She has performed on Broadway, on radio, and is well known for her comedy in television and film. She was a familiar face on television during the 1960s and '70s, guest starring on such programs as All in the Family, Bewitched, and The Lucy Show; she had a regular role as Miss Emily on Kolchak: the Night Stalker.
