Ricardo Antonio Chavira (born September 1, 1971 in San Antonio, Texas) is an American actor of Mexican, German, and Irish descent. After recurring roles on television series such as Six Feet Under and The Division, as well as a series regular role on The Grubbs, Chavira now has a starring role on the ABC hit dramedy Desperate Housewives. On this series, he plays Carlos Solis, and is credited under the name Ricardo Antonio Chavira. Chavira has a son named Thomas.
Chavira has become a breast cancer advocate due to the death of his mother due to breast cancer when Chavira was only 15-years-old.
