Raised on the East coast of Australia, Strik was a world class youth surfer and competitive boxer. His career plans took a detour after he landed a national commercial and decided to pursue his love of film and theater by attending the prestigious Australian Academy of Dramatic Art. Three months after graduation, Reshad booked a guest starring role on the Australian television show ""Blue Heelers". Casting directors from the hit series headLand spotted him and cast him as an ensemble lead role in the popular series.
Reshad makes his leading debut in acclaimed Hong Kong director Fruit Chan's (DUMPLINGS) psychological thriller, ], which begins shooting in Los Angeles in April 2008.
Strik can next be seen as a rebellious surfer in the Australian film NEWCASTLE, which debuts at this year's Tribeca Film Festival. He was last seen as an American soldier in Wes Craven's The Hills Have Eyes 2 for 20th Century Fox. Reshad is the President of Ironbark Entertainment an American based production company that started in March 2008. Ironbark Entertainment is currently working on a number of new Film and TV projects for 2009.
He recently wrapped the Jonathan Schwartz produced independent film SPOONER opposite Nora Zehetner and Matthew Lillard.
