Phil Vassar Detailed Biography -
Having no initial success in obtaining a record deal of his own, Phil lent his talents as songwriter to some of the most popular country artists of the late 1990s, penning number-one hits for Jo Dee Messina, Alan Jackson and Tim McGraw.
He signed with Arista Record Labels in 2000, and has recorded the eponymous Phil Vassar (2000), American Child (2002), and Shaken Not Stirred (2004).
In 2006, Vassar will enter his second season as a judge on Nashville Star.
