Morven Christie Detailed Biography -
Morven Christie (born c. 1979) is a Scottish actress. Christie received mixed reviews for her role in Romeo and Juliet with the Royal Shakespeare Company. The Stage called her both "delightfully giggly" and "lack the grand passion to persuade of her unhinging love."
Paul Taylor in The Independent said "Morven Christie's dark-maned slip of a Juliet projects humour, intelligence, warmth and the sense of a girl who knows her own mind. The character's progress into a deeper self-awareness is beautifully charted and there's a piercing pathos in those scenes where, having surpassed her parents in emotional maturity, she attempts to reason them out of their insensitive folly.
She appears in two forthcoming ITV series Monday Monday and Lost In Austen. She will also play Anya in The Cherry Orchard and Perdita in The Winter's Tale in Sam Mendes' Bridge Project in 2008/2009.
Christie was born in Glasgow. She originally studied TV and radio production before training at the Drama Centre, London; she graduated in 2003.
