Michelle Nolden Detailed Biography -

Michelle Nolden recently portrayed Rudy Giuliani's press secretary in the USA Network television movie Rudy opposite James Woods, co-starred alongside Cybill Shepherd in NBC's Martha Stewart biopic, Martha Inc. and co-starred in the Canadian television film Hemingway vs. Callaghan with Gordon Pinsent and Vincent Walsh. Nolden's versatility can also be seen on the big screen. She recently received an ACTRA nomination for Best Actress for Men With Brooms, the highest grossing film in English Canadian history, in which she co-stars with Paul Gross, Leslie Nielsen and Molly Parker. Other film credits include Deceived, starring Louis Gossett Jr. and Judd Nelson, Cybermutt, Alter where she plays a woman suffering from Dissociative Identity Disorder, Winter Sun, Minor Adjustments, David Weaver's short Moon Palace, which was exhibited as part of the Museum Of Modern Art's night of exceptional short films, and Weaver's recent feature Century Hotel which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2001. Additional television credits include A&E's Nero Wolfe, Paramount's Largo, Gene Roddenberry's Earth: Final Conflict (which has earned her a fan base around the world), as well as The Relic Hunter, Twice in a Lifetime, Power Play, and La Femme Nikita. She appeared in a number of movies of the week which included You Belong To Me and Ken Finkelman's Foreign Objects. She also played a young war bride in the CBC National Special We Will Not Forget, which earned the Governor General's Award of Appreciation. Nolden began her acting training at Ryerson Theatre School in Toronto. She has also studied with Shakespeare and Company, Uta Hagen, David Rotenberg, Miriam Lawrence, The Actor's Network, Actraworks and Equity Showcase. In addition to her film and television credits, Nolden's theatre credits include Father's House, Grease, Crazy for You, and Broadway Tonight. she has traveled with the United Nations to Bosnia, Israel, Egypt and across Canada. She has performed with the Jean Ann Ryan Dance Company in the Far East and the Caribbean.
