Michael Harvey, aka MC Harvey, (born 1 May 1979, Battersea, London) is a British musical artist.
His father is bodybuilder Mike Harvey, better known as former Gladiators hero "Bullitt". MC Harvey himself came to prominence in 2001 with UK garage act So Solid Crew.
After leaving the band, he has developed a TV career on reality TV shows The Games on Channel Four in 2003 (which he won) and several series of The Match on Sky One. He has also appeared on several programmes as a guest including Never Mind the Buzzcocks, and has hosted the dance competition Bump n Grind on the youth cable channel Trouble and Footballers' Pads on Sky One.
In 2006 he made his theatre debut in London's West End in the musical Daddy Cool.
He acted as the commentator in EA's FIFA Street
Harvey is married to singer Alesha Dixon, a former member of all girl band Mis-Teeq.
In November 2006, UK newspaper The Sun stated Harvey started an alleged affair with fellow The Games contestant and West End stage star Javine Hylton, a friend of Alesha's. The pair were caught by Javine's boyfriend, Karl 'K-Gee' Gordon, who phoned Alesha to report that he caught Harvey tossing Javine's salad at the home which Javine and Karl Shared. He then confronted the cheating, shocked and still naked Harvey when Javine went to use the shower, kicking him out naked, whilst with holding his clothes as evidence. Alesha has now moved out of the house she shared with Harvey. Harvey has now moved in with Javine and has refused to pay any of his outstanding debts since separating from Alesha. Thus Alesha can not sell their mariatal house.
Alesha said to Simon Amstell, when appearing as a guest on Never Mind The Buzzcocks, an indie pop quiz on BBC2 that "MC Harvey was a pusscat" to which Phil replied: "What, he sh*ts in a box?"
Harvey is also a non-league football player, who plays in defence. Harvey has played for a number of clubs including two spells at AFC Wimbledon and at Lewes. He was signed by the Conference South side St Albans City in June 07.
