Matthew Mackendree "Matt" Lanter (born April 1, 1983) is an American actor and model, known for his role as Horace Calloway in the ABC television drama Commander in Chief.
Lanter was born in Massillon, Stark County, northeastern Ohio, the son of Jana Burson and Joe Lanter. He moved to Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia in 1991 at age 8. He graduated from Collins Hill High School in 2001. He played baseball, football and golf and was a batboy for the Atlanta Braves. Currently, he attends University of Georgia and is majoring in Sports Business but leaned towards an interest in the film and television industry created a strong desire to pursue acting instead. He has a sister named Kara Day. She is a teacher now at Rea View.
Lanter made his debut on the big screen as a voice actor (Anakin Skywalker) on August 15, 2008, in the animated film Star Wars: The Clone Wars, a side story that is set between Star Wars II and III.
