Mark Webber Detailed Biography
Combining innate acting ability and boyish charm, Mark Webber is quickly ascending the ladder as one of Hollywood's most intriguing young talents. Currenlty shooting Woody Allen's upcoming comedy opposite Debra Messing, Tea Leoni and Treat Williams, this busy actor, Mark Webber, will next be seen as the lead in the Untitled Todd Solondz ("Welcome to the Dollhouse," "Happiness") Project for Fine Line and opposite Al Pacino and kim Basinger in Jon Robin Baitz's ("Substance of Fire") independent feature "People I Know".
Most recently seen starring in the hit Paramount feature "Snow Day" opposite Chevy Chase, Mark Webber garnered rave revies starring in both the sold-out London and New York stage productions of David Mamet's American Buffalo opposite William H. Macy and Philip Baker Hall. Mark Webber portrayed the role of "Bobby" at the renowned Atlantic Theater Company in New York. Production has also recently wrapped on "The Animal Factory" directed by Steve Buscemi as well as "Chelsea Walls" directed by Ethan Hawke.
Mark Webber also appeared in the Fox feature "Drive Me Crazy" as well as the Fox Searchlight film "White Boys" directed by Sundance Film Festival award winner marc Levin. Mark Webber’s additional credits include the independent films "Edge City" (which won the Best Picture Award at the Hampton film Festival) and "Jesus' Son."
A native of Minneapolis, Mark Webber grew up in Philadelphia where he attended the High School for the Performing Arts. Raised by a struggling single mother, Mark Webber found acting to be an escape from reality. Mark Webber credits his mother, now a crusader for the homeless, to have instilled in him the hard work and discipline it takes to be a successful actor. Currently residing in New York City, Mark Webber continues organizing and attending rallies and protests with his mother on behalf of the homeless despite his busy acting schedule.
