Marcus Thomas (born on September 23, 1985) is a football defensive tackle who plays on the Denver Broncos. He was formerly part of the University of Florida football team until November 2006 when he was kicked off the team for violating the terms of his reinstatement from a drug suspension. He missed curfew, went on an unapproved out of town trip, and skipped a mandatory drug counseling session.
While he played for Gators during the 2006 football season, his dominant play clearly showed as he accumulated 26 tackles and 4 sacks in only 5 games. Prior to the game against LSU when he was on suspension, the Vegas Line was -1 in favor of LSU. After he was activated for the game, the Vegas Line was +3 in favor of Florida.
He originally signed with the University of Florida from Jacksonville, Florida's Mandarin High School, where he was an All-State performer.
Thomas is an Anthropology major.
On April 29, Thomas was picked 121st in the 2007 NFL draft by the Denver Broncos.
