Mara Croatto (born February 2, 1969 in Caracas, Venezuela) is a Puerto Rican soap opera actress.

Mara's parents are actress Raquel Montero and the Italian-Puerto Rican folk singer Tony Croatto. Maras parents moved and settled in Puerto Rico shortly after Mara's birth. She was raised and educated in San Juan. When Mara was 11 years old, she attended the D'Rose Modeling School, where she took modeling classes. She was a student at the Academy of Perpetual Hope in Miramar. Mara always considers herself a Puerto Rican and publicly identifies herself as such.
Mara started her acting career as a narrator in "El Show de Shows" (The Show of Shows) in Channel 11. She also worked as a dancer in the shows "Juventud 83" and "Juventud 84" when she was 15 years old.
Mara soon landed a small part in the television show "La Pension de Doña Tere" (Mrs. Tere Boardinghouse) starring Norma Candal. That year, she also worked in her first mini soap opera in which the members of Menudo participated. Her character was that of the sister of Ricky Martin who happened to be in love with Robby Rosa.
Her first important role in a soap opera was in "Cisne Blanco" (White Swan) with Deborah Carthy-Deu. Among the other soap operas in which she has participated are "Amandote" (Loving You); "Valeria"; "Sentimientos" (Feelings); "Pobre Diabla" (Poor She-Devil); "Me Muero Por Ti" (I'll Die For You); "Madres Solteras" (Single Mothers) and "Gata Salvaje" (Wild Cat).
She presently resides in Miami with her husband, Mexican actor José ?ngel Llamas, their son Rafael, and her two children from a previous marriage.
