Maciej Żurawski (born September 12, 1976 in Poznań, Poland) is a striker who currently plays for Celtic. For Poland, Żurawski has appeared 48 times and scoring 15 goals.
He joined the Scottish club from Wisła Kraków in July 2005 and signed a three-year contract and debuted in Celtics infamous defeat to Artmedia Bratislava. He was voted Polish player of the year in 2002 and scored 24 goals in season 2004-2005. Fans of Celtic called him "Magic" Żurawski. Żurawski's favourite clubs are Wisła Kraków, Lech Poznań from Poland and Barcelona from Spain. A technically very gifted forward with a ferocious shot and a real eye for goal this player is often very under-rated in Scotland and is set to flourish big-time in the near future.
