 Logan Lerman Detailed Biography -

Logan Wade Lerman (born January 19, 1992) is an American actor. He began acting in the early 2000s, and is known for his roles in the television series Jack & Bobby and the 2006 family film Hoot. However, he has recently gained recognition as a talented and rising young actor in large part due to his role in the 2007 western 3:10 to Yuma.

Lerman was born in Beverly Hills, California, and decided that he wanted to be an actor at the age of two. He subsequently appeared in two commercials, and made his film debut in 2000's The Patriot, playing William Martin, one of the children of Mel Gibson's character. The same year, he also appeared in What Women Want, a hit comedy also starring Gibson. Lerman's next roles were in 2001's Riding in Cars with Boys, playing the younger version of Adam Garcia's character, and in 2004's The Butterfly Effect, as a younger version of Ashton Kutcher's protagonist.

Lerman's role in the 2003 made-for-television film, A Painted House, won him a Young Artist Award for "Best Performance by a Leading Young Actor" in a television production. In 2004, Lerman was cast in the television series, Jack & Bobby, playing the role of Robert McCallister, one of the title siblings. The show ran on The WB Television Network during the 2004–2005 season, and was subsequently cancelled, though Lerman won another Young Artist Award for his performance. Lerman recently was in Hoot, in which he plays the lead role of Roy Eberhardt. The film opened on May 5, 2006 and netted him still another Young Artist Award. This time the 2007 Best Performance in a Feature Film -Leading Young Actor award. His later films include The Number 23, in which he plays Robin Sparrow, the son of Jim Carrey's character Walter Sparrow, and 3:10 to Yuma, in which he plays the son of Christian Bale's character.

Lerman became good friends with Dean Collins, who played his best friend on Jack & Bobby, and they remain close despite the series cancellation. In their spare time, the two collaborate on humorous, quirky short films, which they write, direct, star in and film; these are then uploaded to the popular website YouTube under the joint account name of "monkeynuts1069".

In 2006, Lerman apparently began dating Frances Bean Cobain.

Lerman has been nominated for another Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a Feature Film - Leading Young Actor award. for his role as William Evans in 3:10 to Yuma. This is the second consecutive year Lerman has been nominated for this award, which he won in 2007.

Lerman also appears in two recent films, Meet Bill and Game. Meet Bill, in which he plays "The Kid" (Lerman's character is actually never referred to by name), had a limited U.S. release on April 4, 2008 and expanded to more cities on May 5. In Game, Lerman plays the role of Simon, who is able to control other humans in a future video game world. The film is expected for release in late 2008.
