Lisa Scott Lee was born in Rhys, Wales. Lisa Scott Lee has three younger brothers who are in a band called 3SL whom she manages. Lisa Scott Lee was a member of the very successful British pop group Steps from 7 May 1997 until 26 December 2001 when the group split.
