Lauren Conrad was born in the lap of exquisite Laguna Beach of California. He was the daughter of 'Katherine (née Lawrence) and James (Jim) Conrad'. She has siblings also. Brenna, sported in Laguna Beach season three, is her younger sister. Her younger brother is Brandon . She spent her childhood as well as high school years in Laguna Beach only. However after the Hills, a reality television show on MTV , Lauren bought a plush mansion worth $2.7 million. Built in the Spanish style it is positioned just off Los Angeles' Sunset Blvd. Conrad had a very successful career. Her interest in fashion designing began at a very young age, when one of her neighbors taught her to draw and also aided her to make Barbie doll. Out of her passionate zeal, Lauren went to San Francisco’s Academy of Art University. Conrad attended for one semester but eventually transferred to the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, where she currently majors in product development. He took up a simultaneous internship during the film shoot of MTV’s reality show Hills. Conrad and her reality show appearances have been credited with improving sales of Teen Vogue. Conrad has made her glamorous appearance on the cover of June/July 2006 issue of the same magazine. It is a big achievement for Lauren since for the first time an intern appeared on the magazine’s cover. On the same month same month, an interview with Lauren Conrad was published that centers on the discussion on things like Teen Vogue cover shoot , her life in reality television shows. On October 2, 2006, issue of another magazine namely Us Weekly, she was acknowledged as one of "Fresh 15 Faces for 2006", of the magazine. The same magazine in the year 2007, the magazine named her a "Hot Hollywood Player". She made her appearance for the third time on issue of March 2007 of a magazine namely Cosmo Girl. In the summer Conrad moved into a Los Angeles apartment with her new roommate called Heidi Montag. Around that time, Conrad resumed dating with Jason Wahler, who also has moved to Los Angeles from Laguna Beach. When Teen Vogue offered Conrad to spend 2006 summer days in Paris, she turned it down for spending time with Wahler. Lauren Conrad and Wahler stayed together till the August 2006. With the renewal of MTV's The Hills for a second season, during late summer days of 2006 to February 2007, Lauren's friendship with Montag took a back seat as she has started spending more time with Spencer Pratt, her new boyfriend.To top it all, she also befriended with Audrina Patridge, another cast member of the Hills.
