Khan Chittenden (born in 1983 in New Zealand) is a New Zealand-born Australian actor.
New Zealand born Khan spent his early childhood living in the bush on the Coromandel Peninsula before moving to Auckland. It was here that Khan first attended drama classes, coming face to face with an insatiable appetite for the paradoxical craft known as 'acting'. For the next three years he 'acted' whenever he could; in school plays, public speaking/debating, self-devised comedy, a magic show - he couldn't imagine anything better.
At age 11 Khan immigrated to Perth with his mum and younger brother. Khan's mum sent him to an audition for a part in a locally produced children's television series - The Gift for Barron Entertainment. He scored the role of Leo McCormack and since then, sees acting as the achievable dream.
Khan attended WAAPA (West Australian Academy of Performing Arts) from 2002 until he scored the part of Dean "The Edge" Edgely in Blue Water High. During his time at WAAPA he appeared in the following productions - Merry-Go-Round, Pillars of Society, Much Ado About Nothing, Epsom Downs, Scenes From The Big Picture, Buried Child and Macbeth. Khan has also shot a commercial for the Awesome Children's Festival, undertaken regular voiceover work for W.A. based agencies Brainestorm and DoubleDragon - as well as appearing in a couple of short films.
Khan has been surfing for the last eight years and lives in the water, so Blue Water High is a dream come true for the Kiwi. Along with the 'surfy' image, Khan loves riding his skateboard - everywhere; he calls it 'transport' skating, as it is his only mode of transport. Khan also plays the piano and enjoys woodcraft, you name it and he can make it.
