Kenneth Mars Detailed Biography -
Kenneth Mars (born April 14, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois) is an American television, movie and voice actor, perhaps best known for his roles in several Mel Brooks films, the most memorable being the insane Nazi playwright of "Springtime for Hitler", Franz Liebkind, in 1968's The Producers and the relentless Police Inspector Hans Wilhelm Fredrich Kemp in 1974's Young Frankenstein.
He had the role of the freindly fireman neighbor Harry Zarakartos on the television sitcom He & She, and has also been featured in a number of small roles in programs such as the Misfits of Science pilot episode and in the audio program Adventures in Odyssey, and made a guest appearance in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode "Shadowplay".
Mars has often played characters with exaggerated accents. He was a German in The Producers, Young Frankenstein, and Malcolm in the Middle, and was the Croatian 'Hugh Simon' in What's Up, Doc? His voice work is highlighted by the role of King Triton in the animated feature, "Disney's The Little Mermaid."
