Kathy Baker is continually cited for her original, standout performances on the stage, screen, and television. She won the Screen Actor's Guild Award for Outstanding Performance By a Female Actor in a Drama Series, a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Television Drama, and three Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her work on the highly acclaimed CBS television series Picket Fences. Baker's work radiates a rare talent. She debuted in film in 1983 as astronaut Alan Shepard's wife in The Right Stuff. She earned rave reviews for her role in the critically acclaimed Showtime movie Lush Life, also starring Forrest Whitaker and Jeff Goldblum. She was seen opposite Peter Gallagher and Claire Danes in To Gillian on Her 37th Birthday and in Not in This Town opposite Adam Arkin on the USA Network, as well as Fox's Inventing the Abbot's with Liv Tyler and Billy Crudup. Baker was also seen in the CBS movie Shake, Rattle & Roll, and the CBS Hallmark Hall of Fame movie A Season For Miracles alongside Carla Gugino and Lynn Redgrave.
