Kate Magowan is an English actress. She made her stage debut in a production of Caryl Churchill's Top Girls and has gone on to work consistently in film, theatre, television and radio. Her film credits include leading roles in Is Harry on the Boat?, Michael Winterbottom's 24 Hour Party People, Sonya in Michael Dowse's fictional biopic It's All Gone Pete Tong and as Lady Una in the Stardust movie.
Magowan is a graduate of The Actors Institute, London and has trained in the Meisner technique. She married the English actor, John Simm in April 2004 in the Forest of Dean. They have two children, Ryan, born 13 August 2001, and Molly, born in February 2007.
Magowan and Simm have appeared together in three filmes: 24 Hour Party People, the award winning short film Devilwood and the heist thriller Tuesday.
