As a child, Pinson was inspired by her mother, a classically trained opera singer, to get into acting.
Pinson married her Days of our Lives co-star, Billy Warlock (who portrayed the character of Frankie Brady on Days and A.J. Quartermaine on General Hospital) in Las Vegas on August 26, 2006. The pair had been previously engaged, back in 1999.
