Jorma C. Taccone (born March 19, 1977) is an American comedy writer/actor. In Fall 2005 he joined the writing staff for sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live. He is also an Emmy-winning songwriter and member of the Lonely Island, a sketch comedy group that includes SNL repertory player Andy Samberg and SNL writer Akiva Schaffer. Taccone created the beat as well as assisted in writing the SNL Digital Short Lazy Sunday.
Taccone was born in Berkeley, California to Suellen Ehnebuske and Tony Taccone, who is the artistic director of the Berkeley Repertory Theatre.
Taccone played the lead role of Brett in The Lonely Island's The ’Bu, the group's record-breaking contribution to Channel 101, where he played a ninja who didn't belong. The ’Bu, a parody of The OC, also starred Sarah Chalke (Roseanne, Scrubs) as Melissa and Andy Samberg as Aaron. In the group's first Channel 101 show, "ITV Buzz Countdown," Taccone played Chris Hoffman, a fictional VJ on a parody of MTV's Total Request Live. He co-starred in Hot Rod, starring Samberg.Will also appear in 2009 Land of the Lost. Backstage at SNL, Taccone is known to dance obtrusively in boxer shorts to the musical guest of the show. Four videos of this are shown on Youtube, all in front of the members of the band and a disapproving Bill Hader. The videos show Arcade Fire, Death Cab for Cutie, Arctic Monkeys and My Chemical Romance.
He makes an appearance in the video for the Gnarls Barkley song Who's Gonna Save My Soul.
