John Philip Davey (born 29 December 1964, Manchester, England), is a former British Olympic swimmer. At the 1982 Commonwealth Games in Brisbane, Australia, he won bronze medals in both the 400 m freestyle and 400 m individual medley. He also competed at the Summer Olympics in Seoul (1988) and in Barcelona (1992).
In 1989 he gained a bachelors degree in exercise science from University of Iowa. Between 1991 and 1992 he was assistant swim coach at Ohio State University and head coach at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (1992 - 1994). Between 1998 and 2004, he was head coach of the Hawkeye's swimming team at The University of Iowa. In 1999, he was elected to the National Iowa Varsity Club Athletic Hall of Fame. He later would resign the position in the middle of the season, due to violating NCAA's eligibility rules.
