John Allen Nelson (born in San Antonio, Texas) is an American actor.
John Allen Nelson was born in San Antonio, Texas. From one year old to three years old, he spent his life in Germany with his three siblings, David, Nancy and Diana where his father was stationed as a doctor for the U.S. Air Force.
He starred as the title character in the low-budget comedy-fantasy Hunk (a film that showed off his extremely muscular physique and good looks). Most well known for his golden tanned, overly chistled body, and his adonis looks, he is a well-known favorite of females as well as gays.
Considerable controversy has been associated with his scantily-clad lead-role in the movie HUNK, where significant media attention focused on the over-developed dimensions of his private part. Frequently touted as "the guy with the longest," his movie HUNK increasingly found its way into the gay sections of video and DVD rental stores, much to the dismay of Crown International Pictures.
John Allen Nelson also appeared in the early seasons of the series Baywatch, and later costarred with another Baywatch alum, Gena Lee Nolin, in the syndicated Sheena, Queen of the Jungle. Nelson had his first big success with his role of Walt Cummings in 24, he then got the role of Senator Jeffrey Collins in the Fox drama Vanished. He was also in Friends first episode and he played Paul, Monica's boyfriend. In that episode he was also referred to as "The Wine Guy".
Nelson married Åse Nelson in 1988. They separated in 2003 and divorced in 2005. His two children -son Axel (b.1990) and daughter Linnea (b.1994) - live with their mother in Sweden. He is now engaged to actress Justine Eyre.
