Joel Beckett is an English actor, best known for playing Jake Moon in the popular BBC soap opera EastEnders from December 2004 to October 2006. He was a former pupil at Bedford School.
His EastEnders character was involved in the ratings-grabbing Get Johnny storyline in March 2006, when Jake shot dead his brother Danny, who was about to kill Phil and Grant Mitchell under the orders of Johnny Allen. Jake left the series seven months later in mysterious circumstances; his fate has never been revealed.
He also played Lee, Dawn's fiance in Ricky Gervais & Stephen Merchant's The Office and also appeared in many other television series such as Holby City and Band of Brothers. In 2005 he appeared in the film Green Street as a pub landlord.
He is dating current EastEnders actress Emma Barton.
