Jessica Capshaw (born August 9, 1976 in Columbia, Missouri) is an American actress best known for her role as attorney Jamie Stringer on the ABC legal drama The Practice. Capshaw is the daughter of Robert Capshaw and actress Kate Capshaw, and step-daughter of director Steven Spielberg.
In the motion picture, Valentine, her role as Dorothy Wheeler was handed over from Hedy Burress, who originally auditioned for the role but ended up with the role of Ruthie Walker.
