Harold Mark Christopher Judd, commonly known as Harry Judd (born December 23, 1985 in Chelmsford, Essex, England) is the drummer in the British pop band McFly, along with fellow band members Tom Fletcher, Dougie Poynter and Danny Jones. McFly rose to fame after former band Busted helped launch them by inviting them on tour in March 2004.
Harry Judd was born in Chelmsford, in Essex, England. Judd is the youngest of three children, he has a brother named Thomas and a sister named Katherine. As a young boy, he enjoyed playing cricket, and riding a tractor around the family estate. He was educated at Uppingham School, the school was also attended by ex-Busted member Charlie Simpson, now lead singer with the band Fightstar. Judd's brother, Thomas, was friends with Charlie Simpson when they attended Uppingham.
Harry Judd has been drumming for four years and he never sings vocals in McFly, although when on tour he once sung a version of 'Hero' by Enrique Iglesias. He can be seen playing the drums in Busted's music video for "Crashed the Wedding" which was released in October 2003, before Island began generating the buzz around McFly. His first drum teacher was Nick Fance. His favourite bands range from The Who to Dashboard Confessional, The Doors, Blink 182, The Used, The Beatles and Stone Sour, with his all time favourite song being 'Hey Jude'.
He is currently involved in a charity campaign called Rupert's Fund in honour of his best friend, Rupert Johnson.
In March 2006, Judd participated in Sport Relief's 'All Out For India' where a team of celebrities travelled to India as part of a cricket team, to help raise money for children.
