Guy Oseary (Hebrew: גיא עוזרי; born 1972) is an Israeli-American businessman who began his career in entertainment at 17 at what was to become Maverick Records. He is Madonna's manager.
He quickly rose through the ranks to chairman of the label, developing a roster of artists that included Prodigy, Alanis Morissette, Deftones, The Wreckers, Paul Oakenfold, Michelle Branch, Summercamp and soundtracks including The Wedding Singer, The Matrix, The Matrix Reloaded, Austin Powers I & II, as well as releasing soundtracks on Quentin Tarantino’s films including Kill Bill Vol. 1 & 2. As part of Maverick Films, Oseary executive produced Twilight, The Twilight Saga: New Moon and Rob Zombie’s first two ventures into feature filmmaking (House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects). He also serves as executive producer on Last Call with Carson Daly, which is currently in its 10th season, as well as on NBC's New Year's Eve which is also hosted by Carson.
In May 2004 Oseary partnered with Jason Weinberg and Stephanie Simon to become a principal in Untitled Entertainment, an entertainment management company with offices in Beverly Hills and New York. Untitled's list of clients includes: David Caruso, Penélope Cruz, Naomi Watts, Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher, Lucy Liu, Marisa Tomei. In 2005 Oseary became the manager for his longtime business partner Madonna and guided her through the 2006 Confessions Tour, and the 2008 Sticky & Sweet Tour, both are on the lists of the top-grossing tours of all time. In 2007 he negotiated a music business deal by partnering Madonna with Live Nation, a touring promotion company. This move encompasses all aspects of Madonna’s music. His other clients include Alex Rodriguez.
In the print world, Oseary has authored four books, including two photography retrospectives from his own photography of Madonna's 2006 and 2008-2009 tours respectively titled "Madonna: Confessions, photography by Guy Oseary" and "Madonna: Sticky & Sweet, photography by Guy Oseary". Previously he authored "On the Record" which is a collection of first-hand accounts on how to break into the music industry from many of the most successful artists, producers and executives in the business today. He also wrote a book on Jewish influences in the music industry in Jews Who Rock. Guy is also co-founder at A-Grade along with Ashton Kutcher, a venture capital firm that has made numerous investments in companies such as Airbnb and Spotify.
Oseary frequently appears in cameos in movies such as Charlie's Angels (2000), the sequel to this film or most recently You Don't Mess With the Zohan (2008).<< Less Bio
