Drew Barrymore was the Guest Host for "Saturday Night" (1975) when viewers voted that Andy Kaufman would never be allowed to return to the show.  She never finished high school.  She was originally offered the lead role in Scream (1996/I) but chose to play Casey Becker because she thought it would be more fun.  She was engaged to Jamie Walters for a brief period of time.  She was chosen by "People" magazine as one of the 50 Most Beautiful People in the World. Drew Blythe Barrymore was born on February 22, 1975. Parented by the famous Hollywood-royalty Barrymore family, she first began acting at the tender age of 11 months in a TV commercial. At 7, Drew was starring in box-office record-breaker E.T. (1982). The flip side of this child stardom was revealed when she dropped out of school at 14 and published her co-written autobiography, Little Girl Lost (1990). Drinking at 9, dope-smoking at 10 and coke-snorting at 12 were some of the stops on Barrymore's descent. After a string of roles in little-seen movies, Drew played an amoral teen seductress in Poison Ivy (1992). The role brought her minor-icon status that was further cemented by a Guess add shot by Ellen Von Unwerth. It was a jeans ad campaign which highlighted her white trash sex appeal.
