Diana DeVoe (born April Diane Carter on March 26, 1979 in Oahu, Hawaii) is an American porn star and director.
She was born and raised in Waianae, Hawaii on the west side of Oahu. She originally planned on becoming a school teacher and played a number of musical instruments in high school due to her shy and introverted nature.
At the age of 17, she made it a personal mission to lose her virginity and ultimately started stripping in college to help pay for her tuition.
April graduated from the University of Hawaii with degrees in advertising and communications, and for a brief period of time operated a swingers' club soon after graduation. However, her self-described "nymphic appetites" would lead her into the adult industry.
She made her porn video debut in 1999 and transitioned into directing pornographic films in 2002.
She is married to adult producer, director, and occasional performer Alexander Devoe (porn star). The married duo have made rare appearances together on-screen in My Baby Got Back, Vol. 26 and as part of a two volume series called Soulmates as part of The Alexander Institute series of sex education videos (the Institute has no connection to her husband). These videos were made between 2001-2002.
Since then, Diana has been strictly behind the camera directing porn videos but according to IAFD she did come out of retirement to do one more scene with one of her friends Justin Slayer (a man that she helped introduce to the business) in the feature Phatty Girls, Vol. 5 in 2005. Despite being behind the camera for over a year prior to this scene, Diana put on an amazing performance with Justin, proving that she still had it. This scene has been considered one of the best performances by both Diana and Justin and has solidified their status as top performers. The two actually filmed two scenes with the unreleased second scene available only on the DVD version of this video release.
She hasn't been in a feature since that time but considering her popularity, an occasional return isn't out of the question at this point.
