Devon J. Werkheiser (born March 8, 1991 in Atlanta, Georgia, USA) is a popular young American actor who holds the starring role in Nickelodeon's sitcom, Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide, in which he plays the show's main character, Ned Bigby, a student at James K. Polk Middle School in California. He's also appeared in the motion pictures We Were Soldiers and Recipe for Disaster. In his spare time, Devon likes to play ice hockey and sing and dance. He goes to a real life school in Duluth, Georgia, and he's already a heartthrob among teenage girls.
Devon has recently begun appearing in a new ad shown on Nick for the organization VERB, which encourages kids to find ways to go outside and play. The ad features Devon and his friends at the rink playing hockey, and inventing other fun games when they don't have any sticks or jerseys.
Devon states that the two biggest goals for his career are to win an Academy Award, and host NBC's Saturday Night Live.
He has said that his two celebrity crushes are Keira Knightly and Natalie Portman.
Devon's older sister, Vanessa Werkheiser, is an actress, and plays a cheerleader on Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide.
