Darijo Srna (born May 1, 1982) is a Croatian football player who, as of 2004, plays for Shakhtar Donetsk. He is a right midfielder, and his talent in this position has led some commentators to compare him to David Beckham. He has scored many goals from free kicks, and often makes precise crosses.
Srna started his career in Hajduk Split, where he was considered one of the best players. In 2003 he was sold, along with Stipe Pletikosa, to Shakhtar Donetsk. Srna was part of the Croatian national team in Euro 2004, where he played in two games. He also played for Croatia in qualifying matches for the 2006 Fifa World Cup.
