Clémence Poésy (IPA: [kleˈmãs poeˈzi]) born November 30, 1982 is a French actress most famous for playing Fleur Delacour in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
Born Clémence Guichard in Meudon, France, to Étienne Guichard and a French teacher mother, Poésy took her mother's maiden name as her stage name. Her father gave Poésy her first acting job when she was 14; she had two lines. She has a younger sister, Maëlle, who is also an actress.
Since leaving La Source, the bilingual and alternative school she attended, at the age of 16, she has studied drama at the university of Nanterre and appeared in a number of French film, television, and stage roles. Her first English-speaking role was in the BBC mini-series Gunpowder, Treason & Plot where she played Mary I of Scotland.
Her most notable role, however, is the Harry Potter character Fleur Delacour; she appeared in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire as Fleur, and has expressed interest in reprising her role as Fleur for the sixth movie, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, in which Fleur appears in both the beginning, middle, and end of.
She is slated to appear in the sci-fi film Tender Interface.
